A jar of peanut butter – the staple of nearly every kitchen pantry from child to adult. Crunchy or creamy, nothing quite compares to a peanut butter sandwich. But for a food so often beloved and frequently consumed, have you ever considered making your own peanut butter at home?

Here’s a simple recipe with all ingredients and kitchen supplies you need to make your very own jar of peanut butter. You won’t believe just how easy it really is! Jelly or Fluff is optional.

Homemade Peanut Butter Recipe

The first thing you want to do is take about 2 cups of unshelled and unsalted peanuts, spread them evenly on a baking sheet and drizzle with peanut or vegetable oil. Heat the oven to 3500F and roast the raw peanuts for about 10 minutes.

The next step will require either a blender or food processor. Add the roasted peanuts to the equipment of your choosing, and blend or pulse until you have the desired consistency. Add a desired amount of honey and salt to get the perfect taste.

Want to make crunchy peanut butter? Set aside 1/3 of the peanuts prior to blending, chopped them up into smaller pieces and set aside to stir in later.

And there you have it! Homemade, delicious peanut butter in about 15 minutes. With all this newfound peanut butter knowledge, it’s time to put it to good use.
